Thank Yoos!

My first Thanksgiving was full of great food, and lots of love and laughter at the Yoo household.

As usual, I got a lot of attention and TLC from Uncle Danny’s parents aka Halmoni and Harabeoji (“Grandma” and “Grandpa” in Korean).  They are such gracious hosts.  I know that Lolo and Lola had fun, too, on their first visit to Murrieta/Temecula.  We all felt right at home.  Other family members in attendance aside from Uncle Danny and Tita Ging were Uncle Sammy (Uncle Danny’s brother), Auntie Alice (Uncle Sammy’s wife), Auntie Grace (Auntie Alice’s sister), Uncle Keith (Auntie Grace’s husband), their kids: Ava and Bobby (who hands down all his cool clothes to me!), Uncle Eugene (Auntie Alice’s brother), Auntie Annie (Uncle Danny’s cousin).  This was also our first time really hanging out with Auntie Annie’s parents.  They both are SO GOOD at karaoke!  It was so much fun! Even with all the excitement, I was able to sleep soundly.  Auntie Annie’s mom was a natural at being able to get me to nap.

There were so many special moments that I’ll never forget.  Like Uncle Danny and Harabeoji playing “Just Dance 2” on the Wii and dancing to Beyonce’s “All the Single Ladies!”  Another highlight was when the whole family went on a hard-core hike and I stayed behind with Halmoni and we had some quality time together.

Above are just a few of the shots from our legendary visit.

“Cedro, Are You Gonna Be a Ladies’ Man?”

23 Nov

Earlier today, Lolo got me to laugh so hard from the question, “Are you gonna be a ladies’ man?”  It’s the hardest and loudest I’ve ever laughed so far in my 16 weeks!  I don’t know if it was the question or the way Lolo was asking me.  All I know it made me laugh and laugh and laugh that my mama had to pick up the video camera to document what was going on since I was making so much noise!

My Lolo and Lola have just arrived from Sacramento to spend some time with me!  I haven’t seen them since Halloween.  We’ll get to spend a whole week together.  For now, we’ll be chillaxing at our place in LA, but towards the end of the week, we’re going to spend a few days at Uncle Danny’s parents’ house for Thanksgiving.  I know I’m going to be showered with LOTS and LOTS of attention for the next seven days!  YAYYYY!

Eventful Weekend!

Lots of milestones this weekend! Yesterday afternoon I rolled over for the first time! Mama + Uncle Danny witnessed me roll over from my tummy to my back at around 4:30pm. Then Tito Manny Pacquiao defeated Antonio Margarito to win his 8th title! WOW! And then this morning @ 6:30am, Mama + Papa watched me as I rolled over from my back to my tummy! And now Mama, Papa, + I are enjoying the farmer’s market in our neighborhood for the first time. YAY!

Movie Marathon Slumber Party

8 Nov

What started off as a quick visit to go to an art opening together turned into a 36-hour slumber party at Tita Ging and Uncle Danny’s place!  (Well, actually 37 hours if you count the whole daylight savings thing.)  Mama, Papa and I LOVE to watch TV and movies with Tita Ging and Uncle Danny.  They’ve got the comfy couches, the HUGE TV, the DirecTV action and yummy snacks.  It’s hard to break away even though we only live 9 blocks away.  It was the perfect way for us to spend a family weekend.
