Lola brought decorations to repurpose our Christmas tree!

My Lolo and Lola arrived on Friday night to spend the next few days with me to celebrate my first Easter!  Of course, they arrived bearing a HUGE gift basket full of clothes, toys and baby gear like a vibrating teether!  This is the longest period of time that I’ve gone without seeing Lolo and Lola.  As usual, I recognized them right away and am having a great time. They are so impressed by how much I’ve grown.

Thanks to Lolo and Lola, I've discovered that I love chocolate Easter eggs! I play with them as if I'm playing a serious game of mahjong!

Needless to say, Mama and Papa are also enjoying Lolo and Lola on 24-hour Cedro Duty!  They can catch up on some rest!  Hanging out with me is becoming more tiring for everyone now that I’m becoming more and more mobile!  (Ask Tita Ging and Uncle Danny.  I know I wiped them out when they babysat me all day on Friday!)

Lola is so creative with her gift baskets! I love my new hat and Easter headband!

Today, we’re all headed to Easter Mass at St. Monica’s in Santa Monica followed by brunch at Duke’s in Malibu.  YUM!  HAPPY EASTER, everyone!

Our bimonthly diaper delivery arrived today and Mama and Papa thought it would be fun and funny to push me around the office in the empty diaper box.  Well, before they knew it, I pulled myself up from a sitting position so that I was STANDING in the box!  This is my first time pulling MYSELF up to stand! It’s the perfect height for pull-up practice!

8 Months Old Today!

I saw snow falling for the first time! What a great way to end my visit with my cousins in Ithaca!

Now that I’m 8 months old, I’m getting more and more active.  Last Saturday, I took 4 consecutive hand-and-knee crawling steps!  I feel like I’m days away from graduating from my military belly crawl to REAL crawling!  I’m also standing up for longer and longer periods of time.  That’s with the help of a couch or a coffee table, of course.  Mama and Papa are brainstorming ways to set aside a safe, designated play area for me in the apartment.  Papa thinks we should put up gates to give me as much room as possible and Mama thinks we should get a large but lightweight playpen so that we could take it with us when we visit friends and family.  I’m not sure what I would prefer.  All I know is that I love to move!  Changing my diaper is always a challenge because I LOVE to flip over and/or kick like crazy!

Today, was a very special day.  I saw snow for the first time!  It’s still feels like winter where my cousins live!  I also met my Tita Mally and Uncle Phil for the first time on our way back to NYC from Ithaca.  We also got a chance to have dinner and play time with Uncle Wahley, Auntie Joanne and my new buddy, Jacob.  We hit it off immediately!   Hope we become as close friends as Papa and Uncle Wahley are.
