Meeting My Obaachama

5 Jan

© Photos by Ardith Ibañez NishiiToday I am 5 months old!  I can roll over multiple times in a row, favoring my right side.  I’m grabbing and reaching for more and more things and I’m definitely recognizing people.  I’m loving hanging out with my cousins, Elise (my “Ate Nuna” aka “Big Sister Big Sister”… in Tagalog and in Korean) and my Kuya Issei (“Big Brother” in Tagalog), not to mention my Tita Lisa and Funkle Ray. And it goes without saying that I had fun with my O-Papa, too!  It’s too bad that he had to leave to go back to Japan yesterday.  😦  Looking forward to spending time with him on our family trip to Hawaii this coming July!

Another huge milestone is that I have finally met my Obaachama!  She is my Japanese grandma who has been showering me with love and affection since she arrived on December 30th.  Right now, she’s on her way to Chicago and Mexico on a business trip, but she’ll be back in a few days and I’ll have more one-on-one time with her!!!
